Instructions
Converting between units is an essential skill in the sciences, and geology is no exception. In this exercise, you'll get some practice with unit conversions.
Learning Objective
Convert between different units of measurement.
Instructions
Please do the unit conversions by hand, then select the correct answer. To receive full credit, you must also show me your work. Do this by embedding an image that shows your work directly into the space in the message question. Uploaded images will not be accepted. If you have trouble embedding please reach out to me or visit me during our Zoom Study Hall. You have two attempts and no time limit.
Note: If you need extra support in accessing any items in this quiz, please notify me via email right away so I can offer you an alternative.
Time Needed
15 - 20 minutes.
I've included a Unit Conversion tutorial (it starts at the unit conversion you'll need) below where I'm converting inches to miles if you need a refresher on unit conversions. In this exercise, you'll use the metric system, which is easier, but the concept is the same.
