Instructions
Congratulations! You've made it to the end. This is your final assignment for this class. I'm proud of the hard work and persistence you've shown throughout this semester, and I wish you a happy, safe, and relaxing winter break and holiday season!
This final exam will assess your depth of understanding of the main concepts we've covered over this semester in our class, GEOL 101 - Physical Geology. Like previous quizzes, this test is an open book, open notes, and open exercises, but NOT open internet/classmate/household members, etc. You will show me what YOU have learned and that you respect yourself by exercising academic integrity. Any detected cheating will result in a zero score for the exam, meaning that you will lose 20% of your total possible points for the class. You have 1 attempt and 2 hours, the normal amount of time allotted for final exams at Cerritos College.
I recommend that you do all of the "easy ones" first, then spend more time with questions that you find challenging. Maybe record the numbers of the questions you skipped, so you can more easily go back and find them. However, be careful that you don't get bogged down by doing too much searching for answers because this may cause you to run out of time. The purpose of this assessment is to measure what you've learned, not how good you are at finding and copying information.
Good luck, and thank you for all of your hard work this semester. You've got this!
All the best,
Prof Lacy
