Launch the SimBio application and select the Cellular Respiration Tutorial Lab. This lab introduces important processes involved in cellular respiration (e.g., energy storage and transfer, redox reactions) and then focuses on the cool but complex electron transport chain (ETC). You will directly manipulate the ETC with interactive simulations exploring how a proton gradient works, the role of each protein in the ETC, and the effects of perturbations such as low oxygen, cyanide, and diet drugs.
